Every last one of you who were there were part of something. For me the Chelsea game in 92 was THE memory. Couldnt get there last night but that looked every bit THE memory for you all. Jealous as anything. You did your bit though

As for Lampard - sod off lad. Your tactics are terrible. For all your possession you had no idea how to make it count.

Personally I was a bit bladdered watching it. Nerves, jelousness, working with Sheff Utd fans. I blame them all. Really it was just desperation to win. I woke up, on the sofa, at 2am. Glass of malt half drunk and a sausage sarnie half eaten on my lap. Sky sports news still on. Finished my sarnie, left the malt but had a pint of milk and crept up stairs and into bed without waking the good lady. Almost as stressful doing that aa watching pennos would have been.

On hols so haven’t had chance to read all through thread. All things I could say will have been said loads so won’t repeat. So just a shout out to me because I’m not often right - but my pre match post said the lads would be going to Wembley , but the hard way , putting our blood pressure up because you just knew they’d let Coventry score first. ! For balance , I’m usually wrong , — recently I said it was a waste of time getting excited about corners because we never score from them . This could be remembered as the Dan Ballard semi final- he owned the first leg , continued in the second so how fitting he got the ending! A quick mention for Rigg - 17 and totally unfazed by such an occasion- not saying good to get booked but showed his commitment.
I am totally jealous of all who were there to experience that moment. It’s quiet where I am , the sports bar I was in had about 20 who were there for the karaoke ( said he would start after match but started anyway after90 minutes) Then there was me , my sister who was just there because I was, and on next table an elderly couple Coventry fans. Now I am normally quite reserved but my leap and yell stopped everyone in their tracks - so I can’t imagine what that would be like 40 odd thousand times in unison. If I meet you anytime I want you to give me full details of your reaction , the reaction of those you were with, tell me about the noise, did you see the players celebrations ir were you in a surreal world . Not that you ever will , but don’t forget a single second of it.

Thats the 11 we had for the 2nd half of extra time and it's no coincidence that that was our best period of the game and arguably the whole tie.

Balance is much better, much more attacking threat and the defensive solidity is still there. No more ELF out wide and especially no more Patrick Roberts please.

 

What a credit the club and the folk who did the banners and Tifo are as well.

I loved the stadium branding and the continuity I thought it looked professional, fantastic and focused.

A constant reminder of the magnitude of the game, it all looked superb and I ****ing loved it.

Everything was right. When the club, the fans and the players unite we are a ****ing force.

 

I think that will be the team for the final but with Roberts in for Rigg.
