Liverpool ya mean? One of the lowest season tickets sales in the Premier league I believe as they like to sell to day trippers. Because day trippers from elsewhere spend a fortune in thr club shop on their weekend trip!
Just got tickets to Man U v West Hammon December as a surprise for my son 21st (end of this month). It’ll likely be exactly the same for that! We’ll travel over and end up in the club shop. Not a bad business models if you can attract them. But I’d rather be like we are! Means so much more to the fans
I'm sure I've said before I live in Liverpool, there is only me in my house who isn't born here. So naturally my little lad chose to support the team that all his mate and half his family supported that win a trophy every season, despite my efforts . So I have to to the club shopmat Anfield with him a few times and the amount of tourists in there any day of the week is unbelievable. I've seen and heard American, Australian, Canadian, Asian (Japanese, Chinese, South Korean I couldn't pin point the difference) and that's without the Southern etc... English accent. It must be easy to support and be passionate about a team.who let's you down and has a crap season if they finish 4th without a cup win!
Them up the road are more touristy now. I know a season ticket holder through work who keeps complaining as the stadium is full of Arabs, students and day trippers now. I was walking on Percy Street and some Asian tourists stopped me and asked for directions to St James. I told them how to get there and then said "when you get there, tell them you're big fans of the Black Cats. They'll like that!" They wandered off going "aaahhh black cats" to each other. I'd love to know how that went
It’s awesome that. Thing is, it’s not just the”kids” that have bought into it. Xhaka and Reinildo both in among that too!! Utterly amazing feeling at the club! The negative Nannie’s will be hating it
