Surely a forum mod should be neutral and state that people are free to spend their time and post their opinion.

    Guess not in this instance.

    Poor.

Why are good, long standing posters getting banned from posing on match threads too btw.

Nobody asked my opinion but I'm going to give it anyway.

I don't mind the "negative" opinions. I think it makes for an interesting and diverse conversation.

What I don't like is the point scoring between posters or making out that an opinion is "smarter" or "better" than somebody elses, which does happen sometimes extremely transparently and sometimes subtly. I don't like it in either direction. We're all Sunderland fans otherwise we wouldn't be posting in here regularly. We all want what we think is best for the club. Our successes are shared and our disappointments are shared. People aren't "wrong" for being optimistic and 100% conditional in their backing of the club, in the same way people aren't "wrong" for wanting to leave games early or not attend at all.

Personally I can't understand wanting to leave early or have a ticket and be in the city but decide not to attend. But that doesn't make any fan wrong for taking that position and who am I to dispute it anyway considering I'm hundreds of miles away and haven't got to a game all season. On the flip side it again doesn't make my opinions less important.

I'm going round in circles. Moral of my story is we're all wanting the same thing. Lets be more tolerant of views that we don't agree with.

Spot on, I also find it very disturbing that posters are getting banned from posting because they went up against the click.

Meant to be a forum man not a cult.

If someone had told me at the start of the Season that we would finish top of the league, excluding the 3 relegated teams, i'd have laughed in their face.
There are signs of significant progress being made. it's not perfect, but it's far more than I expected.
We are about to enter the lottery that is the playoffs. We have a 1 in 4 chance of getting up and there's no reason why we can't do it.

I'm sorry, lads, but I'm closing this thread because it's ruined. I'll open it again if RTB wants me to.
Please have more respect for RTB's next match day thread . . . . assuming that he'll do one :emoticon-0148-yes:
