Why. Strange comment TBH. A load of lads I know yday decided to stay in the pub and not walk to the stadium when the team was announced. Treat games with that level of contempt and that's what you get. People have free will to choose how to spend their time. You go to some home games and miss some, not sure why you don't believe that people do the same.

No chance mate, it's what they live for.

Even when they choose to 'spend valuable time with friends and family' they're still banging away on here telling everyone how bored they are and why they decided not to go. Every match thread ends up the same, wouldn't surprise me if RTB stopped trying tbh.

I didn’t see any of the team treat the game with contempt and I agree with RLB’s approach. We’ll see if it’s worked come the playoffs.

I also personally think that the team benefits from any support shown.

There’s a certain type of supporter’ who’s quick to grab any reflected glory …

… but even quicker to distance themselves from ‘failure’.

When things are going well they love to tell people what great supporters they are but vanish when they don’t.

    It’s childish.

I do. Made 7 changes and it showed again.

It's an interesting viewpoint, it might work, it might not. All I know is that I don't like how we are playing and I don't think think it's a good idea going into the play offs bang out of form.

What is it now, 3 defeats on the spin, windless in 4? If it doesn't work out, RLB will come under massive criticism IMO. Can not treat a run of league games like pre season, get turned over and not get the right result in the end. I really hope we get there btw, just think he has made a massive rod for his own back.

We've been sleep-walking in this play-off position for weeks, and some fans have met this with their own apathy. I personally don't agree with it,but I can understand it.
I just hope that RLB has got this strategy right!

It’s entirely dependent on results. If we’d have kept our best XI and missed out there’d be a queue of people complaining that we didn’t rest anyone. Ultimately our fanbase will moan it’s collective tits off if we miss out regardless.

There is a balance though isn't there ? I mean, this is a manager that hates subs, I believe you said it's the way he is. We have made the least amount of subs in the entire league.

Now we are just playing full second strings, getting turned over each week. I think it's a huge gamble personally and it's actually a product of his failure to rotate earlier in the season.

Contempt? Or playing players who need game time in a dead rubber? Why go to the extreme of contempt? We have players who people have said”needed a rest” given a rest and its contempt?

For 90 minutes we were the better side. Had chances both halves to win the game. Restricted an in form side to 1 chance all game. I supported the team. He could have played the u23s, id still have gone. It’s what I do as a fan. Seemingly the modern fan is more entitled than those of us who remember the 10-12000 gates at rocker. Or maybe you’d all prefer to be back in league 1 with Donald in charge?

I suppose we have to wait and see if it has worked, the play offs will tell us everything, I think he deserves our trust, I would guess its causing him sleepless nights

No mate. I went to all those games in league one too. It was horrific and nearly seen me off.

I just think it's poor to make that level of change when all season he has been a nightmare with subs. Winning breeds confidence, at the moment we look shot IMO, results are poor and performances are worse. Lots of possession but minimal impact, not working the keeper. I think we have 1 or feeble attempts on target yday.

Patterson,O’Nien, Mepham, Browne, Bellingham, Watson, Isidor.

7 of yesterday’s starters. Anderson, filled on as needed at left back due to injuries, Salis, a midfielder who has played at the highest level of the game, Harrison Jones, who is a promising Sunderland lad, and Aleksic, who everyone has said should get more game time!

I pity you for seeing that side and deciding not to go. As I said above, obviously feel entitled

It's not that deep mate. I seen the team, it looked ****. Thought we would get beat. Didn't walk over.

    We got beat.

    End.

I think we had a good go until the end, just short of quality

“The team looked ****”. Based on what? You said reserve, yet 8 of the starting line up probably walk into most other sides in this division. So 3 players.

ridiculous mate. You.l never convince me it’s anything other than entitled. Particularly using the word contempt. Do you think we deserved to get beat? Better side for the entire game, including those “reserves” good chances missed in both halves.

2nd game in 4 days too.
So if we don’t go up then it’s all because of RLB? Guess you’ll say it’s despite him if we do!
