Played well today tbf. Would’ve wanted him to get tighter for the goal but he wasn’t bad overall

    I certainly wouldn’t disagree

Desperate for a fully fit Cirkin back in 2 weeks though.

    Are they baying for
glad you said that. He was tidy today and loooked decent. Out of position but I said he had a good game. I actually thought Saul’s had a decent game. Few good little shoulder drops and almost always found a SAFC shirt.

Somebody said he hadn’t made much impact but I couldn’t disagree more he changes the flow of the game when he plays

The more I think about it the more it makes sense to use the remaining games as prep for the playoffs, our position isn't going to change and yes there's a duty to entertain the fans but it's hard to give a **** about that when you think about what's at stake.

That extends to making judgments about the players, Watson for example. Could be that he'd been told to take it easy and after the last match the feedback was 'not that easy Tommy' hence the decent performance today.

I don't think momentum matters, obviously it does in the league but the playoffs are like cup games and any team can raise their level in those situations. I expect us to be bang up for it.

I’m not as bothered about momentum as I am about continuity. I want our team to go into the playoffs all knowing what each other are doing.

So I would use the final 2 games to get our best 11 playing together again. Not because I want us to get momentum, but because I want them to refine their patterns of play etc

Our fans have been at best below average for decades, we have a reputation for leaving matches early and getting on players backs and chasing managers out of the club.

A lot of good fans in there but as a whole it's not great.

Yep, he can do in 2 touches what most of our midfield take 4-5 for. Very good at using his physique to win and protect the ball for a slight lad as well.

One last comment from me and I’m going quiet til at least the play offs.

Other teams have been going full pelt and have the same form of us who’ve been on the beach for ages. Not saying that’s ideal, but there are currently no form teams in the play offs.

also throughout the season even when we’ve had bad form, for majority of the bigger occasions we’ve turned up, beat boro twice, should’ve beat Burnley twice, should’ve beat Sheffield United twice, Leeds games are only ones I think we’ve been bested across two games,

so I’m still confident if we play our 11 together to get rhythms and patterns we go up

keep the faith lads. Regardless it’s been my best season supporting Sunderland in absolutely years and can’t wait for next year with RLB and where it takes us. Could be our most exciting summer / season yet regardless of division

Yeah that's true, if these matches have been little more than prep than the thing to do would be to end it with our best 11. Le Fee has barely played in the middle, he needs as much time there as possible.

    Why’s that?

There’s been some good debate on here recently (despite what some say) and it’s all good. Expect more of the same heading into the play-offs, no need to stop posting
