If you'd like a bit of promotion etc for this, I'd love to do an article about the whole scheme. Roker Report's popularity is on the increase, and hopefully a few more people might see it and get on board. So, if BruceysBeak, Ballin, Roger or Keroche want to contact me via email [email protected] they are more than welcome. If one of you could provide an overview or elaborate on the scheme more than has been done on here that would be great, and also point out any recent success/news with it would be grand. Thanks very much, always willing to help a good cause.
Maybe we could arrange for "red and white" recycle bins next to those in supermarket car parks, or even one outside the ticket office?
Our article on the appeal. Thank you to BruceysBeak for his time -->> http://www.rokerreport.com/2011/3/15/2047879/red-whites-unite-for-africa Hope it hits a few more people, and you get even more shirts.
This is what the appeal is all about, i was sent these pictures of some of the guys having a knock around.

Great idea guys! Should be able to get a few shirts made up in Bangkok (they're available for sale at 5-quid each). Let me know the address. Won't be any time soon - work! (And hey....me b/day today (59!!!), and not606 sent me a greeting. Ta. Where they get that from?????? Best ever present would be a thrashing (1-0'll do) of Kennypool. Cheers.
Hi Ray, when did you get here?! And not606 emailed cos you put in your date of birth on your profile Happy birthday from me too!
Toon fan genuinely in peace...This is a great idea lads, not necessarily as a viable means to an increased club revenue, but plain and simply 'cause it's a top class thing to do. Imagine how much these kids will cherish that top, my Dad worked in North West Africa (The Gambia) over 25 years ago, when my Mam n Sister went back to the complex where they lived, my Dad's mate (a Gambian fella) still had his black and white scarf!
Just seen this article, great idea lads! For those who were wanting to contribute but don't have any old kit, JJB currently have a sale on: ã10 for the junior current home shirt.
