Maybe, but you were right in principle. I said the same after the Swansea game and most people just waved the 3 points in my face- then look what happened. We weren't that bad last night, and we got the 3 points, but we do need to play much better.

If we'd have taken half our chances it would have been a comfortable walkover, without needing to play well. My best mate in work is a Mackem, so it pains me to say that Sunderland are absolutely atrocious. We haven't even played worse teams in the Europy, and that's saying a lot. The only joy I see in their plight is that even Fat Sam, the Crabbe to Bruce's Goyle and Fergie's Malfoy, will probably not get out of this one. If we play like that on saturday and pass up on several chances we'll get stuffed, even though W Ham are not the same team that beat us 0-3 at Anfield. But it was 3 points, even if we passed up an important opportunity to polish up our GD - how important might THAT be at the end of the season?
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we got the points- but if you play like that you win some, you lose some, and that's mid-table standard. We need to do a lot better. Klopp was having kittens at times - I know he's emotional, but it indicates to me that the players still aren't doing what he's expecting them to.
They're absolutely mince. We dry humped them 6-2 at Goodison and I thought they were the worst side in the division, and then Villa turned up......... p.s. West Ham without Payet aren't anywhere near the same side.
