When you get to The Marsden Inn turn right instead of left and and follow the road through Whitburn. You will arrice at the top of Dame Dorothy Street. You can then walk the rest of the way.
It would have made a big difference if it had been at 1pm because unless you Mo Farah your never going to get round in time to get to the game. With the KO being 3 it gives people like me a chance. A sub 2 hour run then and hour to get to the car in Whiteburn with another hour to get to my mates house to park which is 2 mins from the ground. I am quite fit though, will do a reasonable time, am starting near the front and recover quickly and I have an understanding girlfriend who is going to meet me in Whitburn. Others are no so lucky and I expect quite a few will miss the game.
Well I say im not going now so I wont be disappointed if I dont make it. I shall see what my physical condition is and metro queues after the run before I make my actual decision. Ill bloody stink if i go though as there is no chance of a shower afterwards unless they have the worlds biggest communal shower at the end of the run which I very much doubt.
I'm pleased about that because some would argue that Sunderland have been a right shower in the previous home games this season...
Haha true mate we have. Im sure at least half of the crowd missed our only home goal this season also. Anyway its probably best if I dont go as i havent seen us win in 2011. I was on holiday for the Wigan game in April and I missed the Blackburn game on New Years Day due to being far too pissed to actually move. So a no show from me is a guarenteed 3 points for the lads. My main concern about missing it is the metro I am imagining an hour wait at least to get on the bastard.

I find it ridiculous that he claimed his awful behaviour is what makes him a 'true SAFC fan'. Some people are just beyond help.
I admit that sometimes I can be a complete twat, especially when I'm upset. I have a very cynical outlook on the world I'm afraid. Sometimes in hindsight I think to myself, hey, you've been a right dickhead there. And I will of course apologise if it's warrented. Sometimes apologies arn't accepted although usually are even if somewhat reluctantly. However, if I think I am right I will stand up for what I believe in & **** what anyone thinks. I will say it as I see it & refuse to just go with the flow.

So I'm not a true supporter, the only person outside of my family and Bob Murray that I know that supports this great club on this rock, I've been to three games, it would be about 200 quid for me to go and see my team play. And I don't even have to cross hell, just a stretch of sea! If a pensioner who lives in Shields can't afford to go to the match, is he a true supporter or not? Twat.

Mate, I couldn't have been better looked after in the RVI. It was just having to look out at SJP all day that had me on a downer.
Cheers Pal im sure I will enjoy it but only after ive finished it. Good on you for the £100 to charity. I only signed up to do the run on Monday as my football teams manager had spaces for his charity after a few late drop outs so raising as much as I physically can in a short time frame. At the end of the day its events like this where everyone that runs raises money for charity that keeps these charities going an ultimately improves and in some cases saves lives and that is why in my eyes it will always be more important than a football match.
