morning people-just got to say well done all those who put up winners yesterday--Oddy gets the top marks for his wonderful double--stick--well its almost a daily certainty , your picks--a bishops helmet of a purple patch !

got back from footy at 1 am this morning- at least we won --unlike all the rugby league lovers who shared the trains ....

SPIRIT OF SHANKLY is my bet today. Had a lot niggles last season but over them now. He won for us on debut and is only going to get better!

    Out of character I know but also done a cheeky yankee;
    SPIRT OF SHANKLY 3.50
    DEADLY STING 4.20
    COOLE RIVER 2.20
    SLEEPING CITY 4.35

Off to White Hart Lane today (don't for the life of me know why) so will miss some decent Sunday racing!

    14.20 Wincanton- Kings Lodge- 6/1

Main bet for the day- Tipped and backed him, when he won his 1st race this season in a very impressive win at Fontwell- (granted the fav fell at the first) but I dont think even then he would have been beaten. Looks good this season, and the big jumps have really bought the best of him, yes hes not certain to follow up from that effrot but natural improvement for that run should see him play a big part

Haven't seen it mate - what does it say? I've written to Jeremy Scott's website asking after the horse's well being and targets but the twat never responded. It's a year since we've seen him, hope we are going to see him again !!

He has not been seen on a racecourse since his debut due to an infection that went up from his hoof into the joint, requiring a small operation.

Yeah, I knew about the infection keeping him out of Cheltenham but I was expecting to see him out fairly early doors this season as he wouldn't want heavy ground. Maybe we'll see him at the seem meeting they are targeting Melodic Rendezvous at (Elite Hurdle at Wincanton) or the Paddy Power meeting?

Scott thinks it may be a blessing that he missed the Festival as he is a really nice horse and the race can ruin them! Has he been reading Hendersons bio?

may be something , maybe not-but in the opener at wincanton Rigolo Ville has been nibbled--race it was in lto has produced good runs and wins from others, this one may well place at 20/1 or more.....

Looks like a lot of you are getting your steer on the jumps season nice and early! Disappointing to see that SIMONSIG looks unlikely for the King George this year. Well done to the Roger Varian team- had a look at that race yesterday and that looks a nice animal, although still a touch to prove on better going. Johan Strauss ran promisingly- will he be a contender for a Derby though? Who knows.

I've placed a bet on the football in the shape of a Newcastle/Man City double at around the 7.5/1 marker and as such have a free bet to use up. Had a flick through the cards and only two stood out for interest, and that is the opening two races of the day in the UK.

An Alan King early season Triumph Hurdle marker in the shape of 1.00 Aintree MEMBEROF 4/6?

    andddd...

A son of Kings Theatre who has shown glimpses of ability as a novice running off just 100 for the Hobbs team 1.15 Wincanton SonoftheKing 18/1?

Charlie Hall chase next week is it? Doesn't half come round fast!

Anyone know much about this Aiden O'Brien trained hurdler over Ireland?

Hope you are all keeping well. A few old faces hovered about lately?!

Indeed it does Toppy and there are some really nice entries at Wetherby next weekend - nice to see them rewarded with some top quality entries, hope many of them will stand their ground.

That AOB hurdler fairly sluiced up on debut and was snapped up by JP. Hard to know what he beat though.

Yep 2nd place behind a decent looking Gigg horse. I'd be keen to know Very Wood's cruising speed.

Anyone know what happened to the McCoy horse in the last, not seen the race but it was 1/7 on in running, did it fall?

Nice to see Noel Meades horses showing improved form this year. He's just won the first two Irish races

Stunned to see 2.55 Wincanton Top Smart 25/1 such a big price as I thought he had a really big chance today.
