    Hi
After being to the hull game yesterday I have waited until I have seen motd before commenting on cats tackle, although a reckless challenge I think a yellow card was punishment enough which was also the opinion of murthy on motd.
I have also the sunday supplement on sky, t.adams and c.kamara also deemed it was a yellow, all pundits said the tackle on Johnson was worse than cats as both feet were off the ground, so how do refs get it so wrong. To me it proves cats reputation is getting him a guilty verdict before refs think about the tackle.

Cats has my backing on this one.

I suspect they were assessing it on the wrong conditions. Cattermole probably wasn't red carded for being off the ground, which is what Kamara was looking for, but for a clumsy tackle that put his studs firmly into Elmo's shin as can clearly be seen on the MOTD footage. Clear red card.

One of the reasons we are in the mess we are in is because we do not have enough of Catts type in the team !

I agree with mitch, Catts is guilty by default when it comes to referees.

if he did actually catch Elmo, it was minimal contact, so Elmo didn't help with his cheating theatricals.

I've never been a great fan of Catts, but I have to say he has been one of our better players of late...

It was clear, firm contact shown on the motd footage.

MOTD, goes on iplayer Monday night. As Shearer is saying "you can't tackle like that. Five years ago it might have been a yellow card, but just look at Cattermole's reaction..." watch the footage showing the studs on Cattermoles left boot going into Elmo's shin.
