Would love him here but i think newcastles ploy was to get plenty of french players in to entice N'Zog and i think it may have worked.
i think a lot depends on downings move to be honest

When it boils down to decision day for the lad one thing will be a huge factor in swinging it for us.

    Steve Bruce.

N'Zog knows noocarsel the club but Fat Ashley is hardly a great selling factor for them and neither is Alan Partridge as manager. The greatest of yes men but hardly a household name.

SAFC have actively chased this lad for 3 transfer windows, so he is aware of our long standing interest (always important to players to know they are wanted) and he always said his best football came under Bruce at Wigan.

If the transfer fees and wages are identical, this may be our ace in the pack IMO. Its the reason why Larsson turned down the mags and Villa to work again with Bruce.

Lads I can put a different slant on this debate (and Mackemwelder touched on it) living down here on Merseyside all the talk, press coverage has suggested that Nzogbia is no longer the Liverpool preferred target. There were numerous camera crews outside Anfield today covering the story that its a two horse race between Downing and Lennon. Indeed the smart money is on Lennon as there is a school of thought that HARRY is desperate to sell down at Spurs to balance the books.Dont forget Everton have always had an interest in Nzogbia too but theyve already stated that they cant afford him.Either way, the man's clearly going to end up at either SAFC or NUFC..just a question of which....another last point..Mr Whelan was waxing lyrical about Villas conduct over the Martinez business last week so I wouldnt be altogther surprised if he goes there

Villa are a poisoned chalice mate. That whole McLeish thing could explode in their faces and why any player would want to got there under the current circumstances is beyond me.

I think its us and I'll stake my reputation as a High Wire Russian Circus act on it. 150%

  11. I only want to sign Nzogbia on the right wages and for the right fee. If Wigan are going to ask too high and if Nzogbia asks for too much then **** him, i don't want him.

Been after him too long if he was coming he would be here by now, wouldn't mind him at us but not too concerned if he goes elsewhere. Liverpool are after every man and his dog at present and as said would he get first team football there? As for him going to the barcodes could be some truth in it also heard that they'd pulled out of the running for him midweek.
Personally don't think he'd come to either of us, been at the barcodes and didn't have a good time there. He does know Bruce which is what could be the hold up maybe he just doesn't fancy playing the football Bruce advocates.

N'Zogbia will go to L'pool, they have the silly money to throw around.
N'Zogbia want's to go to a bigger club.
Though I know Sky Bet is just as bad as the newspaper's, they now have N'Zogbia fav' for L'pool, when a week or so ago they stopped all bids, assuming he was a cert for the mags.
