Day One; REWARDS FOR RACING NOVICES CHASE Three runners PENDRA, UP TO SOMETHING and GRANDADS HORSE. PENDRA is easily the best of them but bizarrely getting weight. He hasn’t run since Ascot simply as they didn’t want to blow his handicap mark. Had a recent day out at Lambourn where he was partnered by McCoy. Very hopefully that McCoy will be on board at Cheltenham but Gordon Elliott has a good one in the race too. Definitely very sweet on his chances. He looked fit to burst! ELY BROWN struck into himself last time out and is on the easy list and GERMANY CALLING who ran a belter in good company when not fully wound up last time may be kept as a novice for next season! Day Two NEPTUNE KILLALA QUAY runs and whilst probably not quite good enough to win he doesn’t think he will be far away and could potentially run a place. SPIRIT OF SHANKLY waits for Aintree. CORAL CUP MAGNIFIQUE ETOILE was on the walker so we didn’t get to hear about his chances which is a shame because I love this horse and still think he has a few pounds in hand. FRED WINTER CADOUDOFF and HARRISTOWN there is not much to split the pair but CADOUDOFF the marginal fancy. HARRISTOWN could well take a shot at the Imperial Cup next Saturday if the race looks winnable. He is in great form. BUMPER OUR KAEMPFER has waited for this race and his Cheltenham run behind Red Sherlock must give him some sort of chance. THURSDAY Could be a blank day unless he reroutes one of the handicappers. FRIDAY VULCANITE has a “behind the saddle injury” and misses the County Hurdle. MARTIN PIPE SHANTOU MAGIC is going well at home. Kielan will ride and must have a decent chance. HAZY TOM floored and odds on shot in his jumpers bumper recently and that has seemingly restored the horses confidence. Charlie Deutsch will ride but hard to see him getting seriously involved in such a competitive affair.
Nice write up Stick. Interesting that they think Our Kaempfer has a chance in the bumper as that gives a positive nod to my ew fancy, the lovely Rebecca's Carningli. A little lucky 15 today just for a bit of interest; Amore Mio, Whats Up Woody & Cara Court at Sedgefield. Knocklong at Leop. Good luck all.
Thanks Stick. Day one will set the trend. Re the bumper - Robbie McNamara was very sweet on Silver Concorde in a podcast I listened to this week just gone.
What's the story with the filly, is she going for the Imperial Cup, Cheltenham or maybe the double? I guess there's a large bonus again this year for winning at both? Good Luck!
Bob enchanted gardens looks value at 4/9 got better last night but this really should not lose and no im not getting involved with your and bucks handbags !

Morning men. Most interesting clues we'll see today (if we will...) is the infamous post racing Leopardstown gallops featuring plenty of festival beasts. Our Conor probably the most high profile on show.
Timeform comment "No No Charlie has been a bit disappointing over hurdles since a very promising introduction but the switch to handicap company could be the catalyst for a revival in his fortunes. He can prove too strong for Thundering Home and Scotsbrook Legend in a race in which the majority have something to prove." A must double: No No Romeo 7/2 and No No Charlie 11/2 (28.25/1 double)
really is a tight race no no is in stick the only things that puts me off though is fehily as struggled to bring no no home and no no seems to prefer better ground . Thundering home looked better value earlier but the market has shown intrest and the odds now seem boarder line ew . Will be an intresting race though with so many weighted to go well.
They need to reinstate the “What Happens Next?” round on Question Of Sport so they can show the 12:30 from Auteuil. The faller at the first was nothing to have a laugh about but the six horses running out at the second flight leaving just five in the contest would surely not be seen on this side of La Manche.
Mossey Joe out of Cheltenham according to Matt Chapman. Terribly disappointed for the horse as its another chance at a big prize he's missing out on. Hopefully they can get him to the Grand National now.
Uncle, you'll just have to get used to the 'High Noon'-like 'handbags at dawn' episodes on here. It happens now and again. At the very least, it's amusing and passes the time before the Festival...........
They are only brief encounters. Quick quiz. Apart from Arsene Wenger, who, in the entire English and Scottish football leagues, has been in their current management position the longest?
Afternoon all. Doing battle with a stinker of a hangover today. No No Charlie utterly friendless in the market.
Dunno really, maybe Dario Gradi (Crewe)? Nope, he stepped down in 2011, so that's wrong! Have another go - Paul Tisdale (Exeter).
I think it is Tisdale too. Unbelieveably Alan "Glasgow kiss" Pardew is the second longest serving in the Premier League!
