Fingal Bay in the Persian War at Chepstow was one of the most impressive novice hurdle performances I've seen for a long time. I think he wins today.

My goodness....big shift on my selection Flemenstar.

RV...MM is too slow for 2m and won't stay 3m...hardly unstoppable!!

Aye think you're right Oddy but I'll sit it out. Gone 5-6 now so that's seemingly shorter than it should be. I expect it'll win but I'm happy to watch only at that price

Find me a better peformance than Master Minded winning his first Champion Chase. Imagine Big Zeb winning like that <rofl>. Master Minded may have lost his pace now but if you think he WAS slow you need help <whistle> ;)

Coming to 2 out I thought he would win 20 lengths but the poor jump took its toll. Stayed on really well up the hill though

Class act Odddy <ok> travelled like a really good horse untill that jump 2 out. Not sure many would have recovered from that

BZ has bettered MM easily on their last two encounters.

MM was awarded a mark of 186 when he won the 2008 CC from VPU,who waqs on the downgrade, and Fair Along.

This was the first G1 that Phil Smith and his boys attempted to assess. They gave MM 186..strange he's now 178...reality?

He is a fine horse but no superstar.

Dex sorry but you are talking nonsense VPU wasn't on the down at all - he went on to thrash Master Minded at Aintree and finish 3rd in a King George and remained a 173 horse untill Ascot in 09 where he hacked up again before going on to finish runner up to Imperial Commander in the Rynair, hardly on the downgrade ? And why Fair Along comes in to it I don't know - he was hammered 35 lengths ffs if that is the case Big Zeb only beat the 119 rated Predateur by around 23 lengths today <whistle>

Master Minded isn't as good as what he once was it is as simple as that imo.

<laugh> RV..We'll have to agree to disagree about this one...just think, like the h'capper, that there was something "Harbinger like" about the 2008 CC.

I'm starting to sound like Andrew the fun running glove puppeteer and regular contributor to five live...<rofl>

Still love that five live Robbie Savage link that someone put up...<laugh>

Nice run from Flemenstar today and e.w. secured. Can't believe he went off 9/4 when he was widely available at 7's three hours earlier.

Ran a lovely race but was just too keen and low at a few fences.Huge big sort who looks to have a big future. The winner looked really nice as well. What ammunition Gigginstown have this year.O'Leary looks sure to be champion owner for the second time.

    Good Night all...Hasta Lunes.

Woolcombe Folly has lost his enthusiasm, from the very first fence he looked in trouble. He has the ability, but there going to have to try something different to try and refind that spark he showed last season
