The Fly's lucky Our Conor or Jezki didnt turn up there, be surprised if he can live with the young ones at Cheltenham, 8/1 The New One is looking good.
Ordinarily I am a “glass two-thirds empty” person; however, paradoxically I believe that records are made to be broken, especially in sports. So congratulations to Hurricane Fly and all connected with him on becoming the most prolific Grade One race winner, resting that mantle exclusively from the great Kauto Star.
My thoughts entirely Boris although surely they have left a fair bit to work with. Anything top class turning up today would have beaten him! Joke of a race!
I didn't watch the race chaps so can't comment on today but I would add that today is the starting point not the main aim.
and admitted that I got it very wrong......three of the horses that I put on my post have won though and THE LIQUIDATOR from my five to follow very impressively. Pleased that you are now with me on THE NEW ONE
I said it last year before he won the champion hurdle and ill say it again - last years champion hurdle was a poor renewal. Darlan would have cleaned up if he were there. The fly won it and credit to him but Rock on Ruby has already been smashed out of sight by The New One this year and id be very surprised if Our Conor and Jezki didnt turn out to be better than anything that finished behind the fly last year. Id be tempted to lay the fly for a place at this moment in time
Ive been in The New One camp for a while now, took the 8/1, but i'll admit you were sweet on him before me.
Hello Lads. Cracking shout Badger and someone on here actually being modest about a winner, never mind one at 40's! ..well done mate. Some great shouts today from the regulars too although I'm sure that anything that won at Cheltenham today won't be following up at HQ in March. Can someone please top up QM's glass...he's heading dangerously near 3/4 empty...! Lemon, garlic and herb chicken, roast spuds, honey glazed carrots, sweetcorn and a big ****ing bottle of Chablis.
Careful Stick! A ring of "animal fanciers" was broken up in Sweden in the last few weeks who probably harboured similar sentiments toward beasts...mainly dogs and cattle I'm led to believe.
