No ... but they felt they should give it a mention anyway, just in case there was a future enquiry and the relatives of the civilians killed unreasonably kept seeking answers to why their unarmed kin had been shot and killed by British soldiers.. rather than accepting that the passage of time should be like planning permission on a conservatory ... no objection within 4 years and it becomes legal
I would imagine the relatives of people killed by bombers who are now "politicians" are wondering what happened there too. **** happens sometimes when governments make decisions/promises, the least you would expect is that all sides were treated the same.
I don't give a **** what your view is, It's wrong. He was a military personal at the time. That comes under military law.
... and I don't give a **** what your view is . ... if the guy is guilty of unlawful killing he should answer for it ... and the mere passage of time or the fact that he was wearing a nice uniform whilst he shot people should never be an excuse ... ... and that is all ... ... but as I said at the outset ... I'll reserve judgement until I know all the facts ... unlike some.
Who's talking about burying the truth? All that has to be said is that many were "un-lawfully" killed but due to passage of time, witnesses aging/dying etc no charges can reliably be brought. Admit some culpability and apologise to the family's, that is more than the victims of bombs got.
I don't pretend to know ... ... but how much was spent on Hillsborough? ... how much to convict Stephen Lawrence's killers? ... If there is a case to be answered then it should be answered ... and that is all.
there's been the same enquiries for over 4 decades, year after year. it's been on footage for 47 years,
Might be the case ... but somebody believes there is enough evidence to bring a prosecution ... so I'll wait to see the facts ... just as I would if something comes to light about IRA bombers ... as I've said ... the passage of time should be no excuse ... particularly where the advances in forensic science might now lead to convictions
I'd be more than happy for that to happen for somebody who was prepared to sacrifice his life, for our country. Would you not?
... and Hillsborough footage changed? ... the Lawrence case? ... As I said ... I won't prejudge.. I'll wait to see what this enquiry has to offer ... I'm like that ... open minded and not easily influenced by the knee jerkers or the outraged
No problem. I knew it was coming but I never go on the attack first, I like to wait for what you've just done. I don't know why people, like yourself, don't just drop me a message and let me know what your problem is. It doesn't always have to be played out on here, as much as people believe I like that.
I am not talking about it being the case, I am talking of an end to it where the relatives get some closure and no sacrificial lamb is needed. Are you kidding about the evidence coming to light against the IRA bombers?
