Only for pocket change. Fire Lily covered it. Commentary on the basketball is the worst it's been all Olympics.
I would not have taken Excelebration on but I did not back it either. This is a horse running the same race over and over again. The move to Aidan O’Brien has not made this horse any better. With no Frankel to contend with, Excelebration continued his excellent statistical record, tracking the leaders before going on with a furlong or so to run. Cityscape plugged on for second with front-running Elusive Kate holding on for third as the best three-year-old. The exaggerated waiting tactics did not help Moonlight Cloud, but perhaps the race was too soon after last weekend’s Group 1 win at the course. The O’Brien second string, Pedro The Great, collected the feature race whilst Cristoforo Colombo was hampered and came down; and highly touted Probably had ever chance but was not good enough. Hard to see how Joseph O’Brien would definitely have won so I will not be rushing into the Guineas ante-post market. Harasiya’s reputation was severely dented by My Special J’s in the Debutante Stakes. Given that she had the run of the race and every chance, any excuses offered will be instantly forgettable. Famous Name finally won a Group 2 race, stuffing Born To Sea, who clearly is not of the same calibre as his half brother; but who will undoubtedly be refitted with the head gear after failing to settle early. Clearly a spell off shagging has left Sparspangledbanner a piece of work short of race fitness.
It doesn't need to have improved. He's class. Just happens to be the unluckiest horse in recent memory to have come up against the greatest horse in recent times. Elusive Kate is a serious filly.
William Buick not right in the head - FALLEN FOR YOU over Elusive Kate get him to the doctors on Monday.
I'm on Onedin Line each way in the bumper as i said earlier but Rearcross would have a serious chance if progressing from his debut. That was a class race. The trainers bumper record put me off backing it though.
Yeah you're bob on Oddy and it looks like they told Gordon before hand. I'm fuming. Only had a medium each way on it so I can stomach a loss, it's when it's clearly a stitch up that f's me off.
No need for a ****e ride of the day comp today as it so obviously goes to the halfwit who would never get to ride a donkey on Laytown beach let alone a Group horse had he not been born with the parentage he had. Take a bow Joseph, you got the horse on the floor today son going up the inner when there was no gap. Johnny Murtagh would have won that poor race by five lengths today sat on Cristoforo. Thank god Joseph will be on him again at Newmarket and my AP bet will be safe! Useless, feckless plum!
I have no idea how he Aiden sells the idea to the board Stick. It must be hard when they say so Aiden we have definately got the best man for the job? I have said before it's not really fair on the lad himself as he gets all this pressure and criticism when he should not be expected to be a group 1 jockey at his age with his experience. He should be learning his trade as second or third string jockey which would still provide him many good rides but no pressure. On a positive note with showings like that he will definately be getting an invite to ride in the Shergar cup next year. Ascot's talent scout will be wetting himself already.
Agreed Stick had enough of him now - used to say he was good - **** off. Glad I didn't back CC today 25s for the guineas my friend and he will be a better 3yo - smashing horse just like his daddy.
