Heis, if they get his jumping sorted he looks a fairly interesting horse. He was very novicey, probably wants fences already too. Notebook horse.
Have a look at the run of Saakhen in the last at Curragh, one for the notebook, cruised up behind them then jockey refused to produce him till far too late
****ing hell. That was crap. Luckily no-one held a gun to my head. I'm off outside to put our pregnant mares out and do some yard work. Do me good after last night.
2nd at 8/1 beaten by the 1/2 favourite. That's a great hurdling debut. Well done Heis. He'll be winning soon.
God, yet another tough one to lose! Beaten a gnat's nacker by a 40-1 shot. Starting a spell of seconditis, I think .
Thanks Bob, just another foot would have been enough probably! One has to take the ups-and-downs with this game, for sure! And if th R's lose too (as they well might) think I'll go for a (very) brief dip in the local River Isar and freeze good and proper).
Nice Sunday card with Ascot today- about time we had more quality meetings on Sundays in this country instead of the dreary sub standard stuff we are used to. Over at the Curragh Jim Bolger has an overpriced one in Tobann at 9/1. His mark underestimates him and he is more suited to the 7f on breeding than both the first three in the market (Moth- an Oaks entrant, Wannabe Better (by Duke of Marmalade, and Sea Shadow might be more a 10f horse by Cape Cross)
nice 1 heis came out a bit up. maybe we should have covered the forecast? been on the betfair forums, funniest thing i've read in a while "I wouldn't have backed that even if I was called Aurora's Encore"
Crikey- Moth has just put that to bed in the space of a second flat. 5 lengths. Whoosh! That might be a smart, smart one!
After yesterdays dramatics i have a fancy today as a pretty big price again. Ascot 3.25 - Somemothersdohavem 25/1 He raced LTO in the triumph behind Our Conor and beat 6 horses home but his odds reflected his chance(66/1). Back into this company he has quite a bit of weight but not too much. He has to give Aazif(4th) quite a few pounds who he beat 2 runs back but he beat him pretty comfortably(he was about 6lengths behind but stayed on very well. Aazif does look the danger as i think Calculated risk has went up too much now but at 25/1 ill be having some EW money it.
I think Calculated Risk has won that for me. BADA BING TAKE IT TO THE BANK Terrible ride from Costello though. He should have won eased down by 5 lengths. That horse is my personal cash machine.
i think we'll both be happy with the win part for you and the similar priced place part for me. A win for the forum
He didnt have that much in hand bob, still a winners a winner, well done. Wouldn't want to be with him NTO though, the handicapper has him in his sights
