PETRUS 16/1 Newmarket 1:35 Last two runs were last week at RA in the Hunt Cup off 98 and final run of last season in the Cambridgeshire off 99. The handicapper has loosened the grip so lets see if connections are ready to take advantage, or do they want a few lbs more? Last time Oisin was on board he was less than two lengths behind Mojito in receipt of only 2lbs and the runner up that day was Escobar who was getting a pound from the selection, he won the Balmoral off 105. More reasoning for positivity is the form of the yard who have seen their last six runners finish 112123. PETRUS is 3lbs lower today and 2lbs below his last winning mark and drops into a Class 2 here. This is much calmer waters and I think that at 16/1 he is really overpriced.
Win Lucky 15/Acca for me today: 12:15 Windsor - Nurse Florence 5/1 1:55 Windsor - Amplify 9/2 3:35 Windsor - Surf Dancer 4/1 3:45 Curragh - Strong Johnson 4/1
Morning all..just one today for me: Windsor 12.15pm Lockdown 5/2 win. Backed him last time when he didn't quite get up and seemed bit too free in the race. First time blinkers applied today with Atzeni on board. With a good break from the stalls I think he will oblige.. Good luck all!
Windsor 3:00 Accidental Agent 4/1 Seems to be a bit hit and miss but if in the mood and runs anything like his 5th in the Queen Anne will surely need to be winning this. Finished ahead of horses at Ascot who if were turned out in this sort of race they would likely be odds on, obvious warnings attached to this horse but 4/1 could be generous if running to similar form. A couple of dangers in Davydenko, who flopped on return but could come on for the run and Stormy Antarctic, who has some decent old form if coming back to near his best.

15:30 Hamilton - Dark Jedi (Should be well-suited to current conditions. Stayed on well LTO. Very hopeful of an even better performance today on the rain-softened ground. 3/1 best price at time of writing, which I will take.)
A tad disappointing. Went off at 7’s so we had it at the right price. Popped out nicely and had a handy position but failed to quicken at the necessary time. No excuses. A few more pounds and surely his time will come again. Next question, is Ice Age ever going to win again? Dropped to a ridiculous mark.
Afternoon all, Two to stay clear of, 3.35 Win DANCE FEVER. Unbeaten so far 3/3 and can keep that record going. Cox in good form too. 4.30 New, EL MISK. Frankies only ride was in this race but now a n/r so he's on this one. Not sure why he would hang around if it's not got much of a chance.

In France I felt Old Persian would take the beating at his best. He has had some disappointments over the years but I think he's a better horse than the favourite Way To Paris and first time out may be the time to catch him. 15/8 looked big to me. 2.50 Saint Cloud Old Persian 15/8
Nah, Old Persian seemed to travel OK early but when ridden he quickly got tired. Poor effort given his rating. Inevitably the favourite was hard ridden but managed to scramble home. Hard to know where to take Old Persian after that effort. That seemed a shadow of the two time Group 1 winner once rated 122.
Oh yes - not big stakes, and just singles and doubles, not keen on accas etc And gradually getting some energy back after my hosptal holidays, yesterday I was viewing the racing but not really taking it in, much better today
I envy you! I'm on a self imposed hot food/drinks ban for 10 more days! Just had cold fish and chips - sounds gross, and quite possibly is, but the cold peas are part of my 5 a day
