It was a painful one Ron but you get used to them in this game I guess - you learn to take them philosophically but they are hard when you think you got your bit right and picked the right horse only for bad luck or jockeyship to cost you. In this case it was a bit of both as she gave up her position easily after the first furlong which would have left her in pole position, but would still have won but for bad luck at the end when Gulland rock pulled out across her. The result is as it is however and if you want to celebrate the winners you have got to be able to accept the losers.
Another way of seeing it is also that Ikerian Road would have lost in another stride were the runner up in his race ridden better, so some you win and some you lose.
