On spring ground Trifolium will do well to hold the form with Felix Yonger. Good winn by hin today tho cant take that away from him. FY made a blunder at a crucial time, and the winner capatilised well!

What the **** was McCoy doing on Defy Logic, used it as a pacemaker, had a soft lead and kept asking it to go faster all the way, wtf was he thinking he was sitting on? Had a good bet on at 9/4 and the horse it beat easily last time romps in <doh>

    jump form again pointless

No need to apologise bob! I would still be confident come March time. But handles the ground better than expected just abit unlucky

No need to apologise Bob, he ran a top race on ground that went against him and that horse falling certainly didnt help. Definitely looks a top Arkle prospect on better ground at Cheltenham and we'll probably get a better price now.

Arkle is wide open and surely Champagne Fever fans would perk up after that. Felix Yonger is a soring ground horse.

Trifolium very classy on his day.

    Defy Logic is very unpredictable.

Onto the big 1, my money is on Jezki. I cant help but think how close he would have got if he wasnt blocked in by Our Conor. He loves the track and im sure McCoy will try and use the horses proven stamina a bit more today.

There was nothing unpredictable about what just happened there, I knew I was beat at halfway, there is no way you can go like that from the start in that ground and not completely collapse at the end.

McCoy has just ruined Defy Logic for the rest of the season, wont come back from that.

I just find it hard to see how people can think that the fly will be beaten he is the best of the irish bunch and imo the best of the 2m hurdler. If anyone is going to beat him it will be one ofthe english boys but today he is a sure thing!!

    Spring ground even.

Anyone think Hurricane will hand out quite a beating again or is this foot bruising going to slow him down?

I think he'll win more convincingly today than last time Toppy. He's on song this season and I expect him to improve again today and be cherry ripe for the festival.

Moving onto the big race. What impact do people think the stone bruise will have on the Champ?

Win by 3+ Lengths instead of 6, that is the only difference his foot is going to make! <laugh>

The Fly should not be getting beaten today and is easily the best horse in the race but there's no value in it for me with his price so small bet on Our Conor just in case there's something amiss with The Champ today

I am inclined to agree. I can't see him losing on this ground at his favourite track. 4/6 seems very reasonable.

    Sam lord 6/1 2.10 Sedg

Tremendous record at Sedgefield and quite poor everywhere else. Has won off higher marks and handles the ground. It's a stab but i've seen far worse 6/1 shots in my time.

Hope Hurricane Fly wins easy to keep the price out on The New One.

Yeah can't see the fly being beaten, unless the foot issue is genuinely bothering him. Don't know what to make of the trifolium race, felix yonger will definitely be better at cheltenham, but a step up to 2m4 might help too

I think they rode Defy Logic that way to find out if they had a real Arkle contender or not, today says they don't. There was no need for McCoy to be so aggressive so early but there ya go. Trifolium deserved winner and Felix Yonger ran well also, Trifoloum also wouldn't mind a little better ground and i don't think there's much between himself and FY to be honest

A bit of me wants Fly to lose so i can get a better price for Cheltenham too.

It was as true a 2 mile race as you are ever likely to see in Ireland thanks to AP turning Defy Logic into a sacrificial lamb, Trifolium has absoluetely destroyed them and should be fav for the Arkle after that, he ran 3rd in the Supreme on good ground and the others have no chance of turning the form round with him.

You're wrong Boris. Of course there's reasons why they can turn the form around.
