it was created to be a socialist party -it's only now that it may become one again hence the huge surge in members -not sure why people on the other side can't see this-that would be a real alternative to the failed regimes that have been enriching the few at the expense of the many .......
That's totally true - it was created to be socialist - but it's a different world now to then and to get into power now, this Labour, would need to create an almost revolutionary social upheaval which is not going to happen. All Corbyn has done is marginalise the significance of the UK's opposition. Good for my political leaning but probably not too good for Labour supporters and the country in general as we need a strong opposition in my opinion.
It's not a different world in fundamental ways -capitalism hasn't changed just become more global-inevitable part of its life cycle -even Marx saw that in 1848 -in fact he remains more relevant than ever -but if you think otherwise that's your prerogative ......
My knowledge and experience of politics is really not up to much but to me it beggars belief that there's people who actually think Jeremy Corbyn would make a good leader
There could be a recession, the Tories could be in disarray and interests rates could rise. But even if all that happens 12 million folk, which is roughly what you need to win a majority in parliament, aren't going to vote to put Corbyn and McDonnell in charge.
there are 16 million who don't or won't vote -think about that -the tories won with less than 20% of adult vote .....it's pretty bad really
I'll probably be joining those 16million next time. I've pretty much always voted labour but they've lost my vote with Corbyn. I'm a civil servant so the Tories will never ever get my vote and as for the lib dems, Nick Clegg did a great job getting them close then completely ruined them by climbing inside David Cameron's arse
