In the Class-5 Handicap Hurdle at Plumpton over an extended 2m4f on soft ground, the Flemensfirth gelding, Flemen's Tipple, has an e/w squeak in this event. Form adds-up pretty well, and distance and going should be OK. Stan Sheppard rides for the Andy Irvine yard.

Hmm, although up in the van most of the way, did not hurdle particularly well at all. Trainer Andy Irvine reckons he's a chaser, and that's where the gelding's future lies. Think I'll put this one on my tracker and see how he gets on when put to Chasing. Not giving-up on this one yet .
