Gents, any idea what the lowest mark for a horse to run in the Fred Winter is likely to be?

110 would have got you in last season Nass (Rock Of Deauville got in off 112 with 10-3, Kingdom Of Munster was bottom weight on 10-0 off 109)

Memorabilia just on the line then. I wonder if they will go for a race like that. Surely will be experienced by that time. He ran well today, responded well to urgings too.

Riptide was bottom weight the year before - carried 10-11 off a mark of 122. I guess it depends on the quality of the field but if you're looking ante-post you'd want a 120 minimum rated horse I'd say

<laugh> oddy i got greedy when the forecast (8-1 beating a 16-1) would have more than sufficed. Fairynuff stayed on into fifth but was well held by the horse finishing in 3rd, Castle Rock.

Best price 12/1 Champagne Fever for the Cheltenham Bumper - he's the new favourite. 7/1 on Berfair <yikes>

Hayley worried about her skin drying out? What is she wearing? She looks like a mujahhaddin

Smart by Palace Moon, best horse in the race and good to see him in form at long last. I wonder if they are aiming for more AW wins before the season starts.

I can't really comment having not seen any of the races but he looks well held by Venture Capital on a form line through Thomas Edison. That said, the age these horses are they improve quickly and ground in ireland is often very different from that at Cheltenham.

Just been reading about Ascot's gaffe at the weekend - sticking orange stickers on people who werent dressed well enough. Interesting parallel to yellow stars of david and pink triangles in nazi germany .............................

Difference is oddy, you were allowed to wear a fascinator (apparently its some form of headgear - cheekpieces perhaps? ) in Nazi Germany.
