Henry Parri Morgan and Thomas Crapper ..... the opportunity to lose double The team have obviously been told that the majority of viewers will not have seen horse racing before, hence the painful explanations ... what a handicap is and (about the 11-4 winner) if you had 4 on you get 11 back. It's irritating but will slowly cease as more viewers are "educated" by them! But I AM glad they told me a mare was a female horse. Wouldn't want to shag a male one - nothing pervy about me!!
Don't think ITV coverage is too bad at all. Energetic, enthusiastic and remember when criticising them for saying what we feel are very obvious statements that there simply trying to appeal to a new and broader audience. Nowt wrong with that imo.
With all this rain falling it's surely playing into the hands of renowned heavy ground specialist L'AMI SERGE. Tiddly weight to carry and Daryl Jacobs is booting in the odd winner, Nicky in form, the 10/3 currently available seems fairly big to me.
Great to see Jonjo O'Neill interviewed, totally agree with John Francome - I'd be delighted to see him Champion Trainer one day. Had to watch re-run of 1986 Cheltenham Gold Cup on youtube! The best one since 1980 IMO.
I would recommend you a book called " The power of habit - why we do what we do and how to change" by Charles Duhigg. It's a great read Oddy, couldnt reccomened it highly enough. Might aid you in the diet plan
Ballyoisin fell when tanking along in front. Ballyoisin and eventual winner Balko Des Flos had the race to themselves a long way out before Ballyoisin crashed out leaving BDF to scoot up and win very well from Arbe De Vie. He certainly looked to be right and will be worth following over fences for the future. Frustrating, but that's part and parcel of it and we move on to fight another day
Yes. Sure is. Would have been interesting had Ballyoisin stayed up but even then the 2 would have been well clear of ADV there so the form would have still been upheld.
Adrian Du Pont e/w in the Reelkeel. Conditions have come for him and was a close 3rd in a French Grade 1 last time. Agree that L'ami Serge is treated nicely in the race conditions also.
A fair few market movers have obliged from overnight today, one in the last at Sudell for Phil McEntee is into 5/2 from 9/2 last night, Playful Dude is the one. Shrewd enough yard mostly and the form is as good as anything in this race. I'm going to push the boat out and have my 2nd bet of the day in a furious attempt to recoup my earlier loss
