Yes, I too was really impressed by Lisp on debut. Despite pulling far too hard and making a bit of a hash of the last 2 hurdles (both traits that can be ‘ironed out’ by his handler given time) he, at the line, was just 3.5 lengths off a horse rated in the 90’s on the level and 14 lengths clear of the 3rd home. As this was only his 4th visit to a racecourse you would imagine that Lisp can only, and I do mean only, improve. It may be massively premature to mention him in the same breath as the ‘Fred Winter’ but that ultimately, this term, is the sort of animal that he could be. Will obviously though need at least 2 more runs over hurdles to be eligible. They will tell us far more.
