Boy In The Bar (3:40) form slowly improving, so that would be my selection for the day. Smokey, better you tell your friend who this is from, he will quickly 'file' it, for sure! <laugh>
Put this in my system Doyle is 2 wins from 2 rides so the booking looks very very interesting

Will be very keen on Mark Johnstons only runner on the card, has had two runs already against a field of newcomers today and with the extra furlong to suit should be up to winning this. Has a very good jockey on board too with W Buick. Quduraat looks the danger but AUSSIE VIEW for me in the second @ 10/3.

At last a winner, won really well and gives a form boost to BURJ running in the Coventry at Royal Ascot. Will invest in that one at 25/1.

Fair doos to Laurens, very decent filly. No excuses for Shahnaza, she was stuck wide all the way but Laurens was wide most of the way as well, Soumillon looked quite confident until Soustraction came up on her outside and he suddenly had to work to maintain a clear passage, she had to fight to get it back and once she got it there was nothing left in the tank. The step up in class has found her out but she will probably still be a decent filly on soft ground, just not a top filly as I hoped.

Study of Man is now my number 1 for the Arc.

Brian The Snail
Piper's Note
Boy In The Bar
Sir Billy Wright
Huntsman Close

Tri cast anyone??

Non runners in general on the morning of the day piss me off, but non runners a few hours before a race annoy me even more, surely these dickheads know it won't be running anyway in the morning so why leave it 2 hours before the race for a hefty rule 4? Thought they brought in new rules to combat this **** as well, seems like the last 2 weeks there's been more non runners than ever at the last minute, it's a joke. Give trainers day / week bans like jockeys get

Shows how difficult it is for inexperienced horses stepping up to these races, Shahnaza out of a small field bridle job up against the likes of Laurens and Happily who have been running in top G1s from the 2yo season. Think it says a lot for Study of Man that he was able to get the job done with a similar profile in an even bigger field round this nightmare of a track. He will need to improve a lot before October but I dont see any better 3yo candidate to do that. Hoping he runs in the Grand Prix De Paris which will be a much nicer race for him over 1m4 and I will be going in again at 16/1 for the Arc before it.

I was going to say that I fancied all 3 of Buicks rides today but after reading on Sportinglife the chances of Dawn Dancer I was against it. With a write up like that should of been a 100/1 chance.
