In case anyone is interested, here's some news just in on jockey engagements for two of the upcoming big races in Australia.

Champion Australian jockey Zac Purton has locked in his ride for the 2024 Caulfield and Melbourne Cups. The Hong Kong-based rider was announced as the jockey for Land Legend for both races following the Chris Waller-trained galloper's impressive win in last Saturday's Group 1 Metropolitan.

If Lope De Lilas doesn't win the 15.25 Naas today I will have to conclude she doesn't stay 12f

Back in May she won her 10f maiden (only her second run) a full second faster than Los Angeles in a G3 just 35 mins earlier. But she ran down the field in the Irish Oaks having been "Prominent, challenging 2f out, weakened quickly 1f out"

15:55 Ffos Las- Issam e/w

Welsh Champion Hurdle, a Class-2 Limited Handicap over a distance just short of 2m on good-to-soft (soft in places) ground.

Taking a chance with an outsider in this competitive event, namely the above French-bred 6YO. Wears tongue-strap and cheek-pieces, as in previous runs. Be a good race to view. Daryl Jacob on board for the Tom Symonds stable.

20/1 (Coral/Ladbrokes/BetVictor) best price early-doors, on the ATR site.

4th at 20/1 SP. Ran a good race after a long break from racing. One for the notebook?

Never showed. Not sure what's happening with this one. Looked a promising sort before the Irish Oaks, but nothing
