Spot on..splitting hairs with those two....how many handlers come on camera and praise their input post event?..all. Crowley and SDS do what they do best at the moment...chasing a worthless trinket.
Dunno if anyone stayed up for the tennis..what a sport at this moment. The big four plus Wawrinka and Del Potro. Wawrinka has now won his last 11 finals...impressive...as many majors now as Murray.
Oh he is a good jockey (most of the time), but it's this myth that the media push he's simply the best and he seems to escape criticism that's the joke. He was a better jockey a few years back imo, he's as strong as any in a finish and he's certainly above average. But he's paid the big dollars to deliver in the big races and it's those that I'm basing my critique upon. His riding on Derby weekend at Epsom was very poor, at Ascot he got The Gurkha and Alice Springs beaten. Subsequent events have shown they shouldn't have been beaten. He almost ballsed up on Minding twice when her class saved his blushes. This weekend in Ireland there were more than a few eyeraisers. Last season look at how he kept getting Legatissimo beat by a nose, Wayne Lordan hadn't any issues on her and we all saw what he done in the Arc on Found. Even I could ride her to get second in a race! It's his judgement of pace seems the issue too often. He only seems to have one way of riding, his rides from the front are very rare but ironically it was one on Highland Reel in the King George I'd reserve most praise for as that was a very good ride in a big race (but ultimately he was on the best horse too which helps). Maybe he should ride more prominently but no doubt he's following the Lads instructions so that's something to ponder. But they cannot be happy with him this season as he's simply not delivering on the big days. I'd say it's likely he's on his last legs in the Ballydoyle job. Crikey, imagine Joseph had have done some of those rides! I actually find it hard to remember him making as many balls up in the big races. Rant over!
