There is a petition on Change.org that you can sign if you want to oppose this golden handshake. The petition suggests that the five million would be better off donated to grassroots football. Sign it if you feel that Mr Scudamore has been remunerated well enough already.
Very true. However it should absolutely not be happening under any circumstances. It is a slap in the face for the fans countrywide. Nothing short of disgraceful but not at all surprising. The game here is ****ed. It’s money and this kind of ****e ****ing it. I think it’s very easy to overlook the disconnect with fans and let these things slide. Dismiss them as minor. It’s the accumulation of all these little things which has ripped the soul out if football in this country for many fans.
