It’s amazing g, he only wanted Newcastle a few days ago. Yet with all that money, they didn’t buy him. Lad must be gutted to not be linking up with Calvert Lewin.

Things are still positive right now tbf, as we're not having to go for Dominic Calvert-Lewin yet.

That's fair enough to be honest. It's not like he's just chancing his arm at something after throwing his toys out of the pram, we've put a big price on his head and discouraged clubs that would likely pay him those sorts of figures (isn't Havertz on £275k?). If we don't give him a big pay hike then he's absolutely leaving next year and we can't complain even slightly (though should still be asking for £120m+), I'd have been shocked if he hadn't asked for £200k+ and whilst I hope we can agree to more like £250k or less (any of these figures blow our wage structure entirely) if we're serious about putting money into being successful there's simply no way around this.
