Scoring machine or freak season? What Mbeumo could bring to Man Utd.

Headline on the BBC above. The people who write about football just don't pay attention and know nothing unless it's about the obvious superstars. It's ****ing boring and irritating.

not what they paid that’s for sure.

there is a player in him, but not £85m worth.
We paid more like 67m for him the rest was add ons he didn't achieve.

He's a good lad I hope he does well for someone else it just never clicked for him here unfortunately.

Still only 25yr old so can Deffo revive his career

Yeah, downplay the transfer fee..
It's just a fact bro we paid I think 67m upfront and the rest was add ons.

So maybe 70m all together

Would be happy to get around 45/55m back

And considering how much bantz he gets about his finishing his goal contributions are decent against games played

Imagine we will sell a few before going back into the market, but I do expect us to be active after that.

Tbf last season was a massive outlier compared to the rest of his career. Personally I rate the lad and think he’s a very good player but going to a Man Utd team in crisis won’t be easy and you can see how he could turn out to be another bad signing for them.

I rate him too ... think he's just come into his 'pomp' tbh ... will be a cracking signing for United if they get him ...

It would be a step in the right direction, he's quality and has been improving every season for some time. What's around him at Utd it's the problem.

Never really watched us have you?
Come on FFS we've all watched you and it's not good right now. You have some good players and some good youngsters and a lot of ****, you just finished 15th. Mbeumo isn't going to change that by himself you'll need a lot more.

Good job we got Cunha as well then i suppose :emoticon-0105-wink:

Last season was a total mess. We had a goal keeper with a tendancy to throw the ball in his own net and changed managers half way through the season who implemented a style that none of the players knew and struggled to get used to.
We also had players like Rashford stinking the place out until he ****ed off on loan.
We were actually the better team in a lot of the games we lost but failed mostly due to the keepers errors and failure of the strikers.
With the two ne additions and hopefully a keeper plus a full pre-season we should be a lot better last season.

(big emphasis on the SHOULD) :bandit:

Should but...

You still have that stinky goalkeeper and his backup seems just as bad.

Whilst mbuemo had a great season and cunha looks like a great player (would love him at Chelsea), i would say cunha is a great goal getter and but mbuemo is more of a creator, not something you were lacking. They will both play as the inside forwards and not your striker as hojlund and zirkzee are your two strikers up top

All good but you still need a lot of work to be challenging. And 2 players doesn't fix that, I was trying to say how Mbeumo is a good signing but that seems to have been lost.
