Can’t really lose on this one tbh

12m is a risk worth taking if we can get him on the pitch for 1 more game than naby anderton

Good signing I'd say.

In 2021 he was excellent, won the Euros with Italy as a 23 y/o and was linked with lots of teams for big money but Juve gave him a big contract to keep him (by big it was around £100k a week so pretty standard).

He's cheap because he's had injuries but also because he doesn't fit the style Juve play and he's out of contract next Summer. The last two reasons are what you want as a buying team as they're not a problem for you. I'd agree it's a risk worth taking as the salary being touted is like £130k rather than ridiculous and he's clearly got ability, he seems physically fragile though and with the step from Italy to the Prem that's a big concern but it's not like you're reliant on him.

No transfer deadline day will top this….

You must log in or register to see media

I miss them days when fans were surrounding reporters and genuine excitement with breaking news.

Now sky seem to be the last to know because of the Twitter itks

Odsonne Edouard on a season long loan ... hoped Rodgers would bring him to us from Celtic back in the day ... but hardly set the Prem alight at Palace ... but we were much in need of striking options so fair enough ...

Armando Broja

Feels like a panic deal, especially as he is currently out injured.

Raheem sterling on loan for a season.

No fee and Chelsea are paying half his wages

He’ll give us some cover for our forwards. Decent bit of business.

Not sure he's better than what you've already got - but does give you some more squad depth ...

He’s a bit of an unknown at the moment. Clearly his time at Chelsea has been pretty ****, but that happens to a lot high profile players that go to Chelsea.

Will we get the old Raheem Sterling back ? Who knows. Personally I think he’ll enjoy his time at Arsenal more that he did at Chelsea. But overall it’s a low risk deal for us.

One year loan, no fee, Chelsea are will paying half of his wages and we have no obligation to sign him or keep him if it doesn’t work out.

Definitely adds some cover for our forwards, especially with Nketiah going

His five goals for club and country in the last two years must be reassuring.

when you see that Palace got in the lad from Arsenal….

maybe it’s a punt to take a decent look and if he is worth going after when fully fit. The DoF had him looked at last summer too.
But I don’t expect a Lukaku style season from him sadly.

Plus Arteta worked with him when he was at his best, as a coach at Man City. He knows what he's getting and he fits your style of play much more than Chelseas, I can't see him doing badly.

Still think the player you needed was Isak and if you'd offered 100m+ you'd have got him. I'd have had you favourites for the title then.
