I hope our board are keeping an eye on who Brighton are looking to replace Caicedo with.

Gonna cost £3m and a pint but will no doubt be worth £90m in 18 months.
All the best, cheap signings include a Snickers somewhere along the line. Maybe a Kit-Kat.

I get that this is supposed to explain why their spending works. But this also means they've got an amortised loss of £160m for about the next 7 years don't they? How are they going to buy anyone of note in the future without selling half a team?

Signing some kid from Lille for €16m. The left-back, Estupinan, looks very tidy as the replacement for Cucurella. The locals are very excited about young Ferguson and the top clubs aren’t exactly swimming in quality strikers so he’ll be another £90m in a year or two.

Yeah Ferguson is destined for the top.

He will cost even more than Caicedo.

Kicking the can down the road and hoping FFP gets binned or just not enforced maybe.

The £60m+ for Havertz goes on the balance sheet entirely now. They’ll always be able to sell someone mediocre for £40-£50m considering the dross still there. Real Madrid will buy Kepa or something.

Way Brighton have been negotiating you’ll probably need to chuck a 1 in front of that 90 for Ferguson.

Shame that <laugh>

Said it weeks ago, no chance he goes to West Ham, too much of a wage disparity. Maguires on 250k p/w at United or thereabouts and West Hams highest ever wage earner was on 80k a week.
No way he takes 65% wage cut unless United offer him a stipend or a six figure one off bung!

Hope he runs down his contract personally
