I don’t think it is, particularly. This is the transfer thread, the last snub for Chelsea was pretty funny, this could be a bit of icing on the top.
The reason I find these transfer, erm, hiccups funny in particular boils down to Jurgen not being able to keep his trap shut, and generally being a somewhat combustible grade a prick. Naturally anything that might piss him off and bring a bit more gurning fury to surface in public is a pretty desirable thing.
Also, I think most Scouse fans truly believe that they’re such an elite offering that anyone that they want to / try to sign will naturally swoon and fall through the door.
It’s all making for an interesting transfer window for certain. The final throes will be worth watching.
