I don’t see why not. They use a data approach to recognise low value, obscure players that have huge potential. Whatever that is, it’s shown over time that it’s trusted and it works.
They’ve put themselves in the position and earned the right to now spend big on transfer fees. They’ve done it with zero risk to the clubs future.

It's hard to maintain over a long period though and the problem if you sell that many is you need a near perfect hit rate to maintain it over multiple seasons.
Similar to us. Back in 2016 everyone was saying the exact same things when we were replacing players with the likes of Tadic, Mane and Virgil (less than £50m for all 3) etc but as soon as we spunked the Virgil money on mainly dross we only went in one direction.
The main difference with them is that they're owned by a fan whereas we had a disinterested Chinese criminal so hopefully he's more inclined to invest some money if its needed down the line.
