This entirely. 12 months ago I'd have been made up if we'd have got him for £20-25m (think the rumours were that Leicester said they wanted £40m from Arsenal) and you'd have to imagine that if he'd put a shift in this season then a) Leicester would be playing in the Pemiership next year and b) he'd be playing in the Champions League next season.

Everyone saw that his attitude stank last season and it's affected his opportunities. That said if there's any manager that can get him playing like a baller again then it's Emery, reckon Howe would have had him doing well too so surprised we were never really linked (and seemed to not be involved at all). Then again Howe has consistently said players need the right character and attitude first and foremost so maybe it was never on the cards.

We’re close to agreeing terms with Raya on a long term contract but are yet to agree a fee with Brentford according to Romano.

Be happy with that if we get it over the line, decent keeper.

Get rid of all those and you have a better chance coming straight back up.

Meslier is ok, he just got his confidence totally destroyed this season, and I think it was right to give the lad a rest, even with him on the bench Leeds still got destroyed.

Leicester fans won't ever forget Perez part in the FA Cup winning goal (now being shown on the BBC site) ... £20 million well worth a place in footballing history ... and good luck to the lad back in Spain ...
