They've won the league once in the last 30 years, what have United won?

Thing that's broken Sucky's heart more than anything is he thought Kloppy was going to make Livpl rule English football for decades.

It was their turn.

Tbf it was, for a Covid hit half a season.

Then it all went to pot and Klopp had a breakdown.

Oh and they bought Nunez and Kakpoo <laugh>

Klopp has a very clear history. He's an impact manager with a 7 year sell by date.
He goes into a club and assembles a team that is great to watch and wins things, unfortunately he has no idea how to maintain the team/squad and after 5 years or so it declines badly and he moves on.

Think he's in year 7 now with Liverpool and he put all his money on Salah whilst kicking Mane in the teath. Since then he has bought 3 duds to try and replace Mane and failed, he will walk soon. Probably announce he will leave at the end of next season for a rest/break from the game, standard practice for him.

They went from being mega broke to mega rich.

Thats why they wont be going away. And thats the only reason they are even relevant.
... and your success and relevance was built upon... More money than any other ****er back in the day.

It's a cyclical thing. Our turn now :)

I never knew this.

Keep it yourself bro, Sucky won't like this.

He won't like it one bit.

The day that Newcastle are actually accused / proven to have done anything wrong whatsoever I'll hold my hands up, cover my mouth and continue to snigger.

That said, it's pretty ****ing mental what Chelsea are doing to be honest. Surely to God it'll end up in tears?

Yeh but if our takeover goes through, we'll take your turn.
You certainly have the ability to spend more than we do due to your existing revenue streams and ability to work with FFP. Pure cash, we piss all over you, but we need to work out how to leverage it.

TBF, unless your recruitment team gets a rocket, you'll continue to spend and waste more than anyone else.

Boehly's doing what I'm currently doing for my holiday. He bought the club cheaper than he expected, same as me for my flights. So now I'm going to spunk the amount I saved on paying more for a hotel off Booking.com and probably end up paying twice as much for a ****hole. Which is what Boehly's doing when it comes to buying players.

Our scouting system's been a joke since Gill left and that imbecile Woody arrived. There are signs it's improving under the new DoF and Ten Hag but we'll always pay a premium.

Im always torn when conversations move onto this. On the one hand I look at how much you've spent and also some other teams (Chelsea obviously stand out at the moment too) and it makes me ponder how people can denounce Pep as if spending money guarantees success. On the other hand I wonder why I should care about cost and value, if we were to sign Madison for £30m it would seem great but for £100m bad. It's not my money though.

You have just hit on something i hold too, i really could'nt give a **** what teams pay for players or how many they buy.
The thing you need to do with £10 mill or £100 mil is get the right player and not just a name.

The other thing you have to factor in (with the odd exception like Ronaldo or Beckham before him) we're not a club that's going to be churning out any re-sales, so chances are players will tend to stay with us and sell for less or not at all. So I really don't give a fck what we're spending tbh bcos it makes no difference either way, and like you say it's not my money.

What I would like however is some decent scouting system and players who aren't megamoney flavour of the month signings. And I wouldn't mind a transfer window where we don't spend the whole summer chasing after signings which are never going to happen. We haven't done our business early in a transfer window since 2007 ffs <laugh>

You remember times under Fergie and Gill when at the start of January people like Evra and Vidic just turned up?

Who the **** are these two, oh that's who they are <laugh>

They signed just before we won the League Cup and the following season regained the league.

A bit like Weghorst and Sabitzer, so I'm expecting big things from both next season as well <whistle>

Ooh he won't like that ... wasn't like that for Liverpool, it was all about organic growth and nothing to do with purchasing power yaknow ... you may well get the old man swiping gif of incandescent rage in response ... :emoticon-0136-giggl
