So, Arteta - barking in the 3rd officials face about time added on, outside his technical area, but with 3 people in his technical area when the final whistle blew… wasn’t booked.

I’m all for a clamp down on time wasting and dissent - but actually apply it evenly. **** me.

Their players threw the ball away and weren't booked. Howard Webb talks the talk but ultimately it's all bullshit.

Was adequate time added on for this because the new rules state it should be.

Doesn't take into account that it gives a team the oppertunity to get players into position to defend though.

He's a fcking moaning whiny cone boy ****.

And that's putting it mildly.

Referee in our game was applying the new rules strictly, it's going to get very tired very fast if there's such inconsistencies.

One of our players got booked yesterday for standing in front of the ball at a freekick to stop them taking it quickly - going to be shhite loads of bookings this season.

On what I saw yesterday... and admittedly MOTD can be misleading... I'd put Newcastle as more obvious title contenders than Pool, United, Chelsea (all of whom are in some degree of transition) and Spurs ... who are **** knows what ... could well be a 3 team race for the title this season... which wouldn't be a bad thing for the health of the game ... plus you've got Brighton as the wild card that could cause an upset or two ...

What the Toon have is the squad depth ... something we didn't have when we were attempting to crash the Top 4 party ...
