a good move for Grant, will be close to his family. but a bit surprised we are willing to let him go, though if it is a good price then, given that he is coming to the end of his career, it may be a good deal for us. he will always be in our hearts. a true City legend.
Let's be honest most of us City fans thought that Holt would be leaving us. He's been an absolute legend and will forever be remembered in Canary folklore, not THE all time legend IMO because of the transfer request incident. That honour remains with a certain Mr Huckerby who, if memory serves me right, said he would play for City for nothing. That said of course, he was probably a multi millionaire already unlike Holt.
............and I might add that we've seen the best of him but he I reckon he'll bang a few in for Wigan next season. Always assuming that this Sky report is true of course !!
So, looks like holty is off, Vaughan gone, Jackson gone, we are looking seriously light in the striker department, makes getting Hooper essential IMO
If holty goes we need more strikers for sure. I think it will pave the way for spending more on Hooper and maybe even another.
If we have accepted a bid, we must be very confident of bringing in new strikers. Personally I'd love him to stay but would take silly money.
Bear in mind a fee has been agreed - like between us and PSV for Toivonen (on June 17th!). If he doesn't want to go there, he won't. Saw this : and didn't know whether to or
While I don't want us to lose Holt if that's true it's a great bit of business. He gets us from League1 into the top flight and keeps us there for two seasons then 1000% profit.
Well, unless Holt actually wanted to leave I find it thoroughly disgraceful to get rid of him. He was hung out to dry by Hughton last season, as he tried to pin the blame on him for our lack of goals. I'd rather get rid of the real reason why we struggled to score, not the superficial one.
It looks like a good move for him.He will be an hour from home down the M6 and probably be on as good a wage.He will probably get The Pie Eaters back up to The Premiership.Plus will be able to watch him knock in a few down the A140.
I'd like to see Holt stay, but if he goes I'm confident enough CH has someone else lined up as a replacement and will add more top players to the squad like he have already. I'm more concerned if Ruddy leaves tbh.
So only RvW and Becchio as out and out strikers for the Austria training camp! Will surely need reinforcements before heading off on the USA tour? Unless we use 'Rusty' as a makeshift striker...again
I can tell you one thing for sure. If we are willing to let Holty go then we definately have other options lned allready. No sane manager would start the season with one striker, even if he is a class act.
Sad day but it has been coming, if its true great big thanks to the man he led us here and good luck you will always be a legend at Carrow Road Holty Time for a new era RVW step up man your time has come
Didn't Liverpool start last season with just one striker? lol. But in all honestly I have full faith in Hughton and there's plenty of time to bring in new players.
Good to see you back Carrabuh. I guess you'll have to wait a while to see CH go, though it will happen and expect a lot will depend on whether or not we succeed in staying up again next seasson.
