I've just had a look at Troisi's Wiki page and though it says he plays for Atalanta, under the Atalanta section halfway down it now says: "Norwich City manager Chris Hughton confirmed in a press conference that the club had made an enquiry into his availability.[12] He signed for Norwich on a one year loan deal due to Elliot Bennett's long term injury." May just be somebody jumping the gun on Wiki, but interesting all the same.
Some Norwich fans couldn't believe what they were watching at Hull last weekend! please log in to view this image
In other news Wenger has been moaning again: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...hams-spending-as-it-approaches-100m-mark.html but on this I do actually agree with him and this point could apply to us right now: "There is a technical risk when you buy more than three players,” Wenger said, “because you unbalance the stability of your squad a little bit. “It’s always difficult when you bring so many players in to predict how well they will do. You have to integrate more, your squad is always a balance, and there’s a bit more risk. "
In the glory days at Liverpool, players used to be signed who were first names on the team sheet at their previous clubs. But they would never be allowed straight into the Liverpool first team. Instead they "disappeared" until they had been properly groomed in the Liverpool way and the Boot Room were satisfied they were ready. So different from today.
I think Wenger has a point about bringing new players in, but he's also talking about a top four team where the margins are tight and the pressure is intense. Tomorrow, City are likely to have at least 3 new players playing: Olsson, Fer and RvW. As these players have confessed, they are still adjusting to City and the PL (though Olsson, like Elmander, has experience of the league at least). The fact that all three have now scored, as has Elmander, will help considerably but we still need to be patient about the adjustments going on. Redmond and Elmander are also likely to feature (or even start), so this is just one of the factors CH is trying to balance at the moment. The 6-3 win over Bury will have helped considerably, especially with four of the goals scored by Olsson, Fer and Elmander. The new players all seem to be solid team players, though, so the signs are good. The game tomorrow may tell us a lot more about the integration going on.
Not ncfc but spurs have just signed Ericsson from Ajax on top of the forward from Roma today! These guys are spending some serious (bale) money, really think they could be top four this season Not looking forward to our trip to the lane in two weeks!
I was thinking the same. All we can hope for is that they haven't 'gelled' by the time we play again afer Sat!!
Their players will all be away on international duty next week. Oh hell, so will at least 11 of ours!
Nothing against the Spuds but would be interesting to see how they balance the books if the Bale deal goes belly up or the buying party suddenly realise they have a strong bargaining position with the cash Spurs have splashed out
Everybody ooh-ing and aah-ing and the usual media circus of reporters spell-bound by the sight of a torrent of £ notes. Question is does AVB have it and will all this WCT do it on the pitch (not to mention the rather less than WCT that Spurs still have but is being quietly forgotten)? We'll see.
Apparently Liverpool made a large bid for Pilks today, but it was knocked back by the Club. There's a thread on it on the Pink'un message board. could be why he wasn't playing today.
Was told at the game todat that Ruddy has brought a house near London, there is also a poster on the pink un saying the club accepted a bid of 12 million from Arsenal last week.
He did "play", was on the bench. My guess is that he is being brought back slowly and CH didn't want to risk him breaking down again after playing a full game on Tuesday. So, on the bench to come on if needed (rather as Snoddy was used at Hull -- though he was so obviously not fully fit that he might as well have been given the day off).

If the club had accepted a bid why would he be playing lol. So far, pilks is off to Liverpool ruddy to arsenal and Snodgrass to Celtic. Yup I see them all happening
How likely does this sound: Monday, NCFC accept a bid from Arsenal for John Ruddy. By Friday, JR and his wife have bought a house convenient to the Arsenal training ground near London (I'm sure they have also had time to inspect the options re. schools and got their kids into the one of their choice). On Saturday JR turns out for Norwich v Southampton, fully focussed and keeping a clean sheet, getting home just in time to wave the furniture removal van off on it's journey south ..........
