Wonder if they'll sign Lee Camp I see that Butland wants to be loaned out now Begovic looks set to stay, that's who I would go for if I was West Brom manager anyway.
i don't rate butland at all. there, i said it. i know he's highly rated but he has so many weaknesses in his game, i find it astonishing how he's being fast-tracked he's not ready for the premier league, i'm not even convinced he's ready for the championship yet and he sure as hell wasn't ready for earning the most stupid and undeserved england cap ever handed out. he might end up being a great keeper one day, i hope he does, but if a premier league team picks him as first choice keeper this season i will stick my neck on the line and say that team will be relegated.
I posted a little about him yesterday (I think). Winger/CAM who scored at a rate of around 1 in 4 in the Turkish Superlig, moved as a free agent to Juventus, who sold some of the rights to him to Atalanta as part of another deal. Barely featured in Italy so looking to move to the UK to kickstart his career.
I know nothing about him, but a bit of digging from wikipedia, etc: Youth player at Newcastle, but never made a senior appearance. Was released aged about 20. Has an excellent record in the Turkish league, which presumably attracted Atalanta, who paid about £1.75m for him. Unfortunately, his chances have been limited, perhaps through poor performance and an inability to settle, but more likely because he had the fantastic Bonaventura ahead of him in the pecking order (who would be a brilliant signing). My guess is that a loan deal would provide us with a bit of cover now that Bennett's out for a while, so one until January would be perfect. I don't think he will set the world alight, but he could well be up to the league given his record in Turkey. If he's not, he won't do any harm.
Winger apparently, but it's by no means clear - he scored 10 goals in 26 matchs in his final season in Turkey, which suggests he was more central. It may also give us a bit of attention in Australia
i think he was a gunn signing. along with such gems as alan gow, alan lee (to be fair, i thought he did quite well), adrian leijer, david mooney and chris killen! no wonder we went down ffs
From Chris Killen to Ricky van Wolf in four short years. Makes / should make every single one of us appreciate how far we've come and how quickly it's been achieved What say you, carrabuh?
Yes there was - people thought he was quicker than he was. It was impossible to believe anyone could actually run in slow-motion. Deceptive.
Seems to be a lot of tweeting about Becchio signing for Brighton, Middlesbrough fans will be gutted if they miss out.(if he's going)
