Don't know a great deal about him at all (although I do vaguely remember him signing for Spurs). Seems to have a decent scoring record in The Netherlands.
I personally do think it's a bit of lazy journalism going on there, bit like maxi lopez. People know were after a striker and so were going to get linked with any player on there way out of a club.

No I haven't Kalou? No thanks. He's not actually as old as I thought he was (28), but I don't think someone who plays as a winger or striker is really what we need, particularly on the salary he'll demand.
