Diego Capel from Sporting Lisbon is apparently available for £6m. At that price let's let Stoke have Pilks for £5m and bring him in!
Where has anyone said that they are "genuinely qualified" to do this? I included in my comment that it was indeed simply my gut-instinct and even confessed that yes, it was on the short time in a 'meaningless' game that I saw them utilised together. I don't know what else I have to go on, as the only time I've ever seen either of them play (apart from that friendly) is in a lone-striker role.
Before accusing people of taking things 'out of context' I think you should consider your own retorts Munky bor.

I think you're taking this a bit personally by the way fella
Yeah maybe I am. I reckon I'm just having a bit of a bad day at the office today.

if rvw and hooper start together against everton and both score, it won't mean they are going to be a great partnership. equally, if neither score it doesn't mean it won't be great. partnerships often take time to develop - not always, sometimes players hit it off immediately - but its important not to make rash judgements based on one, two or even five games. good players tend to find a way and both our forwards are good players.
I don't think they will get a look in, Fer will be well up for it after the shenanigans in Jan. Would be great if he got a goal, all those upset Toffee's!
They'll certainly find it difficult to chew...
nonsense. every player has to earn the right to play, no matter who they are. we aren't a non league team signing internationals - we're a premier league team signing internationals! they'll all know they are not guaranteed starts. sometimes they'll both play, sometimes only one of them will. you never, sometimes neither!

Of course they don't expect to walk into the team irrespective of form or whatever. But if both are fit and playing well, IMO both will expect to be selected. Likewise, if Quagliarella comes in, adding to the competition, he will expect to play, i.e. all three will expect something other than a single striker with Wes Hoolahan or Howson behind him.![]()

I still think Quags would choose Everton over us, unfortunately, but that is very encouraging

"Quagliarella nearing a move to England. Juve & Norwich are very close to reaching an agreement over the striker's transfer"
Seem to be a lot of rumours in the last hour on twitter
His joke made me want to cry not laugh!
