I was referencing something that happened a while ago that I better keep quiet about or ill start world war 3 Needless to say, I know Gary hooper is about as much of a target man as Wes.
Currently sat outside the stadium waiting for hooper, still no sign. (Nb I'm actually waiting for a shirt to be printed not that sad)
You disappoint me Bath. I thought you had been sitting there since January and was about to enter you in the Fan of the Year competition!
I have just watched both videos and the second one makes me think we have got an absolute bargain. Some of the touches and composure he shows are brilliant and if he can do that this year in the premier league then he may well get into that England squad.
In 'allo 'allo ' they say this only once but I will say this for the 3rd time. I have no doubt that Hughton and McNally know what they are doing but I raise the point now, as on previous windows, at the people saying buy this, buy that, buy the other when we already have 26 players for the 25 man squad especially as it is often the same people who are reluctant to see players leave. To be fair to all sides of the arguement I would point out that on this thread alone there are people who would sell Fox, others who would keep him and others who want him in the starting eleven. Munky and Supers are perfectly correct when they say I bring this up every time so I will bring up another point I also raise at the same time - the loan system. It is perfect for the likes of Rudd or to get games for somebody returning from a long injury layoff but apart from that - no! What benefit did we get from sending Chris Martin etc out on loan? None. If Ch buys two more then just select 2 to sell, Don't even talk about loaning out the likes of Fox or Surman - sell 'em whilst they are still under contract. Ward was the odd man out last year. He hung around with us paying his wages for most of the season before he went out on loan and then ran down his contract.
Go on Beef, start WW3. There's so little happening in this transfer window we could all do with some excitement, anything.
We're announcing a signing at 2! If it's Hooper I imagine it could be the longest, most drawn out press conference of all time...
Perhaps Beefy meant "target" as in he was one of our "targets" and was thus a "targetted man" rather than him being a "target man"
Norwich City FC‏@NorwichCityFC We are delighted to confirm we have signed 25-year-old striker Gary Hooper from @celticfc for an undisclosed fee please log in to view this image
Here's finally here !! Hurrah !! Terrific signing that - he and the Wolf will make a fearsome combo when they play together.
I have to admit that this is the most exciting transfer window I can remember. As a current exile I am missing all the day to day, even minute to minute news updates on what's happening. But even so I spend a lot of my time in a wi-fi pub catching up. The capture of RvW, Fer and Hooper is a major shift in our standing. If CH can gel them all together and produce a team, then we have great times ahead. OTBC.
half expecting someone to photoshop a picture of 'arry looking angry in the background. i'd do it myself if i could be arsed!
Good to hear that Fraser Forster encouraged him to come to us, and it's no surprise that he was attracted to working with Hughton from knowing him at Spurs (becoming a bit of a theme).
