What is interesting is that the odds for us or QPR signing him are going crazy. swinging from one to the other.
Now I am one of those that doesn't think bookies have insider info but it does show that lots of money is being thrown at one of us getting him.
My last check of about 2 mins ago had us as favourites.

I really just want this to end now, either way.

As long as we win. <whistle>

I was thinking that Rob <ok>

(Unless of course he ends up at West Sham or another such club coming in with an eleventh hour bid)

I would hope at this stage that all other clubs looking at this are sensible enough not to get involved in the mess!

EDIT - we are talking about wet sham though...

Sky Sports @GraemeBailey saying Gary Hooper will have medical at #ncfc later today. Terms agreed. Now let's go get Linvoy Primus finally too

it goes on!

I know this may be irrelevant but what is the general opinion of Hooper? Do we want him?
from what I have seen I think he could be good, but not seen much of him.
Also for what it is worth I dont think the messing around with his leaving Celtic, for us, QPR, or anyone else has been his doing. Think it is Celtic trying to get as much as they can.

if we have got him harry is going to look very stupid, and by extension will make a lot of harrys media friends look pretty stupid too. Why start talking when its not a done deal? Harry and his Wheeler Dealer ways!

I think that is probably true - Sky Sports tend to make clear when stuff is a rumour and wouldn't be so certain. So satisfying to see egg on 'Arry's face after those stupid comments

Now let's agree terms, fast

I suspect that Hooper and his agent have played for time over the last week since QPR's bid was accepted. I imagine they had agreed to meet QPR today (which explains 'Arry's idiotic counting of his chickens), knowing that it would force our hand. I feel we've paid a little over the odds simply because QPR are a bunch of tw@s, but it will not matter a jot if he scores 12+ goals next season.

Don't count our chicken's until they have hatched ..........

From BBC Sports website "Norwich City agree a fee with Celtic for Gary Hooper as they look to beat QPR to the striker's signature.

Hooper, 25, looked set for a move to the Championship side after a bid in the region of £5m was accepted by Celtic on Wednesday.

But Norwich are understood to have now matched their valuation of the former Scunthorpe man and hope to bring him to Carrow Road."

Hooper's a great player and you'll be lucky to get him. He's a poacher but not afraid to dig in defensively when needed.

Re Celtic wanting as much as they can for him - he's in his last year of his contract, of course they want as much as they can get for him. Lennon wanted Hooper to stay, give him what he was looking for but Peter Lawwell wouldn't sanction a wage rise for him. It's how he rolls.

Hes gorgeous too and I for one will be gutted when he leaves.

:(

With CH and DM not due to travel back till tomorrow we wont hear anything unless he signs for QPR for a few days. Unless we have already agreed terms with the player previously but I doubt that very much.

I suspect that they will already have sanctioned the deal. There's no reason why someone else can't negotiate on McNally's behalf with Hooper - these days we have phones...
