Numbers yes. Bodies yes. Quality? Not at all. How can it be when one scenario has mukiele as our first reserve defender where in the other our first reserve is Ballard if fit? If we just need bodies and cover there are much cheaper ways of doing it.

No it wouldn’t. That’s where the flexibility comes in. If we get two centre defenders injured in scenario one it’s Ballard who steps in. In scenario two we’re through to Seelt, or this new lad. Once again I’ve not seen this new lad but as I said at the very start, if he’s more right back then centre half it’s not the perfect signing for us. Now maybe perfect has long gone. And maybe this lad can play centrally for us with ease. But that’s why I put a big fat equivocation at the start as I’m going off basic info. But IF this lad is ‘just’ a rug he back in reality, it’s not what I’d be spending deadline day sorting if I was in change of a football club.
He’s played CB quite a lot tbf mate he’s not a right back who’s **** at CB
Would you prefer this lad or Lucumi? And is Lucumi the only outright centre half that we could get who can play either side of a pairing?
