Chelsea could ask Sunderland to cancel Marc Guiu’s loan due to Liam Delap set to face 6-8 weeks on the sidelines.

There is no immediate break clause in Guiu’s loan to Sunderland, which means Chelsea would have to do a deal with the club to see him return from Wearside so quickly after joining on loan.

Ffs.
We’ll probably ask for Someone like Disasi on loan to soften the blow and target a forward and winger as permanent signings

Snap judgement: I’m okay with Guiu going back if we can get another striker. Looks a bit mediocre.
He’s played one full game in a second string cup match, scoring a goal then two late substitute appearances totalling around 20 minutes in league games. This is what you’re basing your opinion of “a bit mediocre” on? Give your head a shake man.

Wonder if they have a winger we can have, assuming we also have another striker to come in

We should be in strong position to negotiate you’d hope. As others have said maybe there is an option to swap for Disasi or George

He’s got one goal in one game. One thing I’ve learned over the last few years is never judge a player too early. He still needs to get used to the players around him and our style of play. Nothing I’ve seen so far makes me think that he won’t succeed
Total and utter snap judgement as I say. But while his energy and movement were pretty good, his overall pace and touch weren’t. Plus he tried his best to miss that header. If him going back made space for a more sure option I’d be fine with it - even if there’s plenty of space for him to come good in red and white too.

Yep. It’s not exactly serious. Hence the snap judgement comment. Not everything is life or death. But he was pretty ****e against Huddersfield:emoticon-0105-wink:

I can’t believe we have taken him on loan on the basis Chelsea can have him back when they want. Clickbait Telegraph.
I think players can only be recalled in the January window contractually but clubs can agree otherwise so we might do so to keep Chelsea sweet.
