Yeah I just don't understand why his price would have tripled after 12 games and a serious injury.
That seems like a non-starter for me.
His only real credible season in blokes football was in the championship though. Had a few sub appearances for Sporting as a kid I think before going Leicester. 35m for a winger that’s had one decent season at that level is crackers, bar Archie Gray it must be a record fee for someone who’s only played in the champ?

They seem to just put him anywhere in the attack. Lines up as part of a front 2 yesterday, played a lot from the left, in the 10 and as a lone striker last season. Seen him play as an 8 as well. I'd like him here.
Leicester took a punt on him and have found a brilliant player. They got the good deal rather than us getting the bad one, if that makes sense

Mind I have to be a bit careful about taking the piss out of the Mags being baited into £60m for Wissa with a year left, if we’re being baited into £25m for Lucumi in a similar situation. Hopefully a bit of time being quiet is making Bologna a bit more realistic on their asking price.
I think that this may be part of the plan anyway - we've now got a number of players we've paid c£20m for who, if we have a half decent season and comfortably stay up, we will be getting bids of £50m+ for come next summer from CL outfits and just as we have with Clark and Jobe we would probably do the honourable thing and let them move on whilst raking in a tidy profitI’m such a sadsack on this thread
However we need to be super careful about maxing PSR this summer, just because we can. To me, doing so means we’ll be forced to make one or two big sales next summer to keep right.

Fatawu? Cracking player. Seems like just the sort we have been targeting for a while too. Leicester wont be easy to prise him from though.
For what it’s worth Fatawu at that price would of course be a gamble and a punt. But I think our recruitment team have earned the right to make a punt.
