Guessing DCL was what BBC radio Totalsport was on about
My understanding is we must name a 25 man premier league squad. U21 players, like Rigg, are not included in that, so technically we can have a squad bigger than 25 able to play.Another aspect to be aware of is homegrown rules. On the face of it, we’re fine. Currently have well into double figures in that preposterous 41 player squad. However of those, I’m only absolutely sure of 6 of them still being with us on September 1st.
Most of the names that regularly get mentioned as potential leavers are in that homegrown bracket. Whilst I know there are ways around it, there’s definitely something there to consider for the club - and likely a reason why the squad will contain a few that otherwise may have moved on. And certainly from next season we’ll need to pay more attention to this during recruiting. Can’t be all Francophones from this point on.

Of the 25 8 must be homegrown. Our current homegrown list I reckon is as follows.
Patto
Neil
Cirkin
Ballard
ONien
Moore
Alese
Browne
Hjelde
Huggins
Roberts
Anderson
Of that 12 as it stands 8 need to be listed in our 25 man squad. I think. You would think Patto, Ballard, ONien, Moore would be certainties at this stage? Neil and Cirkin too if they stay. So we have 6. We need to name 2 more unless we buy. Roberts and Hjelde would make sense. If we sell Neil it starts to look more difficult and any replacement would surely need to be homegrown? Same for if Cirkin goes?
Think with DCL it was who was prepared to offer him more.
We obviously have more concerns about his fitness record than Leeds do. Fair enough.
It was just a suggested line up mate, id have him starting personallyNo Le Fee in the starting line up. What is this madness.
Talksport are saying we offered DCL to be our highest paid player but turned us down
Not sure, just saw it on instagram posted by their clubIs one a striker ?
This! Talented boy,no doubt, but he's a big risk.Im pleased its not Calvert Lewin like. Massive wages and will miss a boat load of games.
Spot on marra! I'd like to think he wasn't a target.seen an article last week saying he didn't want to come to us, but was apparently quoted as saying he wanted a "further up the table" club. Blokes a walking sicknote and I would hate to think we were paying him a fortune to miss chunks of the season. Add to that the Geography, probably doesn't move house, much like Jackie boy going to Everton.
Yep. Forgot him.can add Mundle to your list. His years at Spurs pre-Belgium will contribute to homegrown
I'm looking forward to seeing Guiu. We've been worrying about goals on here for a while, but I've a Chelsea mate who really rates him. If we can get him the service.....he thinks we have a gem. Ok,we'll see.I can believe that we wanted DCL, think it would've been before Guiu signed though. I think he's alright but at the wages he reportedly wants there's better out there. Not going to lose sleep over him going to Leeds.
seems like a one for the 21s you'd imagine
The majority of us on our forum are wishing he hadn't turned you down, he has hamstrings made of elastic bandsTalksport are saying we offered DCL to be our highest paid player but turned us down
