Is this apparently or do you know?
Who knows for sure, was looking it up when we were linked with him. Seems a fact that Barcelona offered £50k to keep him but he took the Chelsea money move

Issue is journalists always list £’s so they might be being lazy and it was Euro, it seems widely reported he is on a decent chunk over £50k

Whatever he's on, we obviously thought it was worth it

Re the CB thing. Agree we need some help there. I would be less in a rush if ONien and Alese were fit and had a pre-season under their belt. As it stands though we would ideally get one in before West Ham. Anyone coming in now though needs to be either at the top of their game, or have some genuine experience. I know Regis has spoken about experience and I personally think he means CB. I wouldnt be surprised to see a 30+ year old from a premier league come in, who could have a similar impact for 2 years that Xhaka will hopefully have. No idea who, because I think they are all on silly money, but I could see a couple of big names being gettable in terms of transfer fee and availability. Somebody like Ake for example, although not necessarily him for us, I would imagine a club would be willing to let go.

I’d be delighted with that. Still feel we’re short of experience.

Aguerd? That link doesn’t seem to go away, him and a diakete type would be superb

Yeah I definitely agree there. Was really hoping the defence was sorted for the West Ham game. Not particularly confident as it stands

Ironically the further North in Northumberland you go the more of us there are around. I'm near Morpeth now and don't see many Sunderland but Ashington and Bedlington have a fair few of us. It's definitely to do with pit villages so most are 2nd or 3rd generation now.

I think you’ve replied to the wrong post <laugh>
